A fast, conversion-focused local trade website built to get the phone ringing.
RJ Services is a wheelie bin cleaning business operating across Rutland, Peterborough, Kettering and surrounding villages. The client had no existing website. The goal was a professional online presence that established credibility, communicated the service clearly, and drove inbound enquiries — primarily phone calls from mobile users.
Local trade websites often fail at the basics. They load slowly, the phone number is buried, and the design looks like it was built in 2014. A homeowner searching for bin cleaning on their phone while putting the bins out needs to find the number and tap it within seconds. Everything else is secondary.
We built a mobile-first site with the primary conversion action — tapping a phone number — appearing in the header, hero, contact page and footer. The hero loads fast with an optimised background image and displays the number as a large tappable link above the fold. Four trust signals appear immediately below: specialist equipment, fully licensed and insured, 100% eco-friendly chemicals, kills 99.9% of germs.
Key features and highlights of this project
The phone number appears as a large tappable link in the sticky header, as the focal point of the hero section, on the dedicated contact page, and in the footer. On mobile, tapping any of these opens the dialler immediately. Friction is zero.
Four icon-driven trust points sit immediately below the hero: specialist equipment, fully licensed and insured, 100% eco-friendly chemicals, kills 99.9% of germs. These answer the questions a homeowner has before they call, without them having to hunt for the information.
Service areas listed in the footer and throughout the copy: Rutland, Peterborough, Kettering, Oakham, Stamford and surrounding villages. Location-specific content that helps the site appear in local searches across the whole operating area.
Built on Next.js 16 with React 19, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS v4. Deployed on Vercel with built-in analytics. Semantic HTML, aria-label on interactive elements, Next.js Image component throughout. Vercel Analytics integrated from day one.
